I'm Amy — mum of three, dog owner, Landrover lover, occasional camper, and the one behind every single wax melt you'll find on this site.
How It Started
Wax Pop started because I couldn't find a lavender wax melt that actually smelled like lavender. Every one I tried was either overwhelmingly synthetic or barely there. I wanted something real — something that smelled like walking through an actual lavender field.
So I started making my own. That first lavender blend became Calm, and it's still our bestseller four years later.
Why Essential Oils?
Our essential oil range uses 100% pure essential oils — real plant extracts, not synthetic reproductions. The scent is different from fragrance oils: it's subtler, more complex, and genuinely natural. You're smelling the actual plant, not a chemical approximation of it.
We also offer fragrance oil wax melts on our main store at waxpop.shop — they give a stronger scent throw and come in scents you can't get from essential oils alone. Both have their place, and we're honest about the differences.
How We Make Them
Every wax melt is hand-poured in small batches. We use a soy-paraffin blend because, honestly, pure soy didn't perform well enough. The blend gives a better scent throw and a more consistent melt pool. We're transparent about that because we'd rather be honest than trendy.
Our Sustainability Journey
We're not perfect, but we're trying. Here's where we are:

- Cruelty-free mica — certification pending from our supplier
- Small batch production — less waste, more care
